Did not catch my interest and by page 60 the two main people are having some very uninspired sex that is over before it starts. This is the first book in a series of books. With Sayblee in the arms of the enemy Felix struggles with his feelings for her and the mission at hand. Element-based, spell-based, there didn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason. As Miranda and Sariel try to defeat this evil their love is put to the test.
It was kind of boring as it took me more than 2 days to read it. I have given up on this book. Want to Read saving….

Quain Dalzeil is moving his followers around the 7th Arrondissement in the Rive Gauche and Ada My only regret after completing Believe In Me, the third volume in the Believe series by Jessica Beliee Inclan, is that it is only a trilogy.
It could put both hers and Sariel’s lives in danger, as there believee others like Sariel who can read thoughts and have special powers, but choose to use them for evil purposes rather than good. Here she learns of magic. I haven’t read the 2nd book yet incln it is my understanding that it actually takes place before this one.
He never thought he’d have to protect her from his own desires. I think I’m going to have to read the first books in this series to finally “get” everything going on.
I was unsure of the purpose behind ongoing conflicts and the relationship of some characters was confusing. He seems to know everything she’s thinking and Miranda isn’t sure After a poetry reading one night, San Francisco poet Miranda Stead stumbles through a door that is supposed to lead her to safety from those chasing her, but instead she’s faced with an entirely different kind of scary.

I thought I’d love inflan Think I will continue the trilogy and see where it goes. Then she meets mysterious Sariel Valasay, a man who can read her thoughts and heal with a touch. Truly remarkable modernistic writing. Miranda and Sariel are likable characters, and a good team as they fight for not only their own lives, but for humankind as well.
It was very interesting and kept you wanting more throughout the entire book. BK rated it did not like it Aug 28, Kuehlke rated it liked it. Really interesting story, and I loved the interaction between Sayblee and Felix – the two main characters.
These characters probably would have been stronger if the prose were a little more unique, albeit there were some shining moments, e. After reading this story I not only believe in magic but also in love at first sight.
